LearnThink Media offers an extensive 30 hour virtual workshop — two hours a day for three weeks — that teaches artists the basics of script to screen and everything in-between. They’ll have an in-depth review of story development, learn how to use Celtx (an online scriptwriting software) so they each write their own screenplay, and learn what it takes to shoot their own film in the confines of their quarantine space with family support. This particular camp focuses on the importance of water in Texas to raise awareness on how we use it in our day to day lives. We’ll show our camp kids the basics of editing with access to Adobe Premiere Pro + Stock for the duration of the summer (August 15). All completed films will be premiered at our 2nd Annual Youth Vision FIlm Festival once we are able to get back to “business as usual.” Additionally, films in this camp will be submitted to be screened at Water, Texas films red carpet event in Austin, Texas with Director Richard Linklater as judge and for a chance to win cash prizes.

We’ll use Zoom.US to connect online, Google Classroom to submit assignments, Kami – a PDF annotation extension for Chrome browser, Celtx for screenwriting, and Adobe products for editing. Upon registering, you’ll receive details how to access each of these free tools for the virtual camp.

*NOTE: Computer access is necessary for post-production editing. The version of Adobe Creative Cloud we are offering is not supported on iPhone, iPad, or any other device.
